| This is the portrait I've been working on the most lately. It's A3 size, so it's swallowing up a lot of my time and the progress is slow, but I like the way it's turning out. I'm a devoted Hugh Laurie fan, you see. |
UPDATE
Hello guys.
Sorry I've abandoned you for so long, but you know how it is; the last couple of weeks of school are the toughest! And now... Vacation! Long, blissful vacation of two months full of relaxing, going to the beach, sun, sand, sea, swimming, tanning, dancing, staying out past midnight, reading, writing, hanging out with friends, and... drawing.
Oh, wonderful drawing! I just got started on some new work half an hour ago and I swear I haven't felt this right and doing what I'm supposed to be doing in months. And I haven't drawn in months, too. Coincidence? I don't think so. I only now realise how much I actually missed it while I was preoccupied with school and everything.
I'm finishing my Kate Beckinsale, Dr. House, Roger Federer, Adagio and La Serenissima drawings in a matter of weeks, but now I'm working on this piece with wonderful shapes, contrast and lighting. It's that terribly overdone but absolutely stunning photograph of Scarlett Johansson on a couch, in that chiffon-y panter print dress.
I'll post a first WIP with the outlines and darkest parts filled in soon, so stay tuned!
